Sushant Singh Rajput (21 January 1986 - 14 June 2020) was an Indian film and television actor,
dancer, television personality,  an entrepreneur also a philanthropist. Rajput started his career with television serials. His debut show was Star Plus
's romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), followed by an award-winning performance in Zee TV's popular soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–11).

NITI Aayog, the policy think-tank of the Indian government, signed and promoted the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP). Apart from acting and running inner ventures, Rajput was actively involved in various programs such as Sushant4Education,  as a part of the effort to help young students.

Rajput made his film debut in buddy drama Kai Po Che! (2013), for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. He then starred in the romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) and as a titular detective in action thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015). His highest-grossing releases came with a supporting role in the satire PK (2014), followed by a titular role in the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). For his performance in the latter, he received his first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Rajput went on to star in the commercially successful films Kedarnath (2018) and Chhichhore (2019) 

While a student at Delhi Technological University, Rajput enrolled in Shiamak Davar's dance classes. It was only later that the idea of ​​making a career came to him, as was the case with some of his fellow students, who had been acting and attending Barry John's drama classes. Influenced by them, Rajput also joined the acting classes. Here, he found himself acting for his passion: "I found the experience liberating. I could communicate with the realm. I knew I wanted to do this forever."

Before his Career into Acting and TV, Within a few months of joining the dance class, Rajput was selected to be a member of Davar's standard dance troupe. In 2005, he was selected to be one of the group's background dancers at the 51st Filmfare Awards. In 2006, he was part of the Troupe that went to Australia to perform at the Cultural Program at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. By this time, he was tired of engineering. He was happy and successful in the dance and drama classes and decided to do what he was good at. He dropped out of engineering and devoted himself to full-time dancing and acting.

To make a break into films, Rajput has moved to Mumbai and joined Nadira Babbar's Ekjute Theater group, which he has been a part of for two and a half years. During this time, he was featured in a TV ad for Nestle Munch, which became famous throughout India.

Bollywood and TV actor Sushant Singh Rajput has reportedly committed suicide at his home in Mumbai. The actor was living alone during a lockdown. Police have reached his apartment but the reason has not been reported yet. It is said that the actor was not feeling well for a few days. According to the reports, the police have arrested the actor who was found hanging in his Bandra home. Just five days back, his former manager Disha Salian was found dead.

MUMBAI NEWS: Noted Bollywood actor and television star Sushant Singh Rajput on Sunday reportedly committed suicide. As per the preliminary investigation, he was found hanging at his Bandra residence.

His demise came as a shock to many as the famous personality of the Fourth Death came to pass in the past two months, after Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor succumbed to cancer and Wajid Khan from Sajid-Wajid duo fell prey to the coronavirus pandemic.

Condolences poured in from all quarters for the highly-talented actor who won several awards for his roles in films like M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, PK, and Kedarnath.

“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic passing of a young Bollywood actor, with a soul brimming with promise and possibilities #SushantSinghRajput. Our condolences to his family, loved ones, and all those who admired his work. Gone too soon, ”Youth Congress said on social media platform Twitter. 
Sushant's death comes just a week after his former manager Disha Salian committed suicide by jumping off the 14th floor of her apartment in Mumbai.

“Such devastating news. My deepest condolences to Disha’s family and friends. May your soul rest in peace, ”said Sushant.

Shiv Sena spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi too expresses her demise over condolences. “This is the most depressing and heartbreaking news about Sushant Singh Rajput. I have no words to express but the sadness I feel. I was a huge fan of his work. This is a cruel cruel time. Condolences to his friends and family, ”she said. (TIME NOW NEWS)

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput reportedly committed suicide. The actor was found hanging in the ceiling of his fan's Bandra home in Mumbai and his servant. More details on the case are awaited. 

Sushant was one of the most renowned actors in the industry and loved his performances in films like MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kai Po Che, Kedarnath, and Chhichhore among others. The actor has been doing well professionally and was reportedly dating actor Rhea Chakraborty. Police are currently investigating his Bandra house. His former manager Disha Salian also reportedly committed suicide a few days back. The investigation is also on the case.

Actor Rashami Desai mourned the demise of her former manager and friend Disha Salian who accidentally fell out of the window of her friend's apartment in Mumbai and died on Tuesday, June 9. The Naagin 4 actor took to her Instagram stories to post a picture of Disha and recalled the last time she saw and believed she was a happy soul who could never end her life. The 28-year-old girl who committed suicide has been charged with murder after she was found guilty of misdemeanor attempted endangerment. 
In her post, Rashami is a few days back from celebrating Disha's birthday. She wrote how the young manager always appeared strong and lively, and her quitting life in the news was just heartbreaking. The actor's post read, "I still can't believe it was your birthday a few days ago." I still believe that we attended a zoom call party. I believe that you posted one of your favorite pictures with your favorite posture and captioned, you are your own choice #makeawisechoice. And what made you choose this? You left all your loved ones, especially your parents, your friends, and the workplace you loved. I have always known you as a strong and stable personality. whatever the reasons behind his death which many taking into controversy but we all will pray for him.
